The Golana brand (often associated with Golana Watch Co.) originates from the Biel/Bienne region in Switzerland. The brand was launched by the Goll family. Historically, Golana focused on producing precision mechanical watches, building a reputation for reliability in the “affordable luxury” segment. Like many independent Swiss brands, Golana had to adapt to the quartz crisis of the 1970s and 1980s. It survived by modernizing its collections, offering watches equipped with Swiss quartz movements (ETA or Ronda) while maintaining a few automatic lines.
