Very little information is available about the Lucerne brand. Popular in the 1970s, it was known for its jump hour watches, which displayed the time through rotating discs rather than traditional hands. These watches used simplified mechanical movements (pin-lever escapements) to compete with the arrival of quartz technology before the brand disappeared in the 1980s. This is therefore a true collector’s watch, of which we only have a single example.
