Catena was originally founded in Bulle in 1908, in the canton of Fribourg. During the 1970s, Catena was a major producer of affordable “mass-market” watches, manufacturing around 800,000 pieces per year and generating over 20 million Swiss francs in revenue. In the early 1950s, under the leadership of Willy Lebet (formerly with Tissot and Omega), the brand was repositioned with a more upmarket focus. Today, a brand website still exists, but no products are available for sale. We are offering a unique piece from our own stock.
