Catena - Its history

Catena was originally founded in 1908 in Bulle, in the canton of Fribourg, Switzerland. During the 1970s, Catena became a major producer of affordable “mass-market” watches. The brand manufactured around 800,000 watches per year, generating annual revenues of more than 20 million Swiss francs. In the early 1950s, under the direction of Willy Lebet (formerly with Tissot and Omega), the brand was revived with a more upscale positioning. To this day, the brand still maintains a website, although nothing appears to be offered for sale anymore. We are pleased to present a unique model from our old stock.
