Felca - Its history

The history of Felca is that of a Swiss family-run manufacture that later became a key player in the Asian market under the name Titoni. In 1919, the company was founded in Grenchen, Switzerland, by Fritz Schluep under the original name Felco, which soon became Felca. To appeal to the Chinese market, the brand introduced Titoni in 1952, adopting the plum blossom as its logo. For several decades, both names coexisted: Felca remained the name of the manufacture and of certain models exported to Western and Middle Eastern markets, while Titoni became the prestige brand in the Far East. Today, the brand has almost entirely transitioned to the name Titoni, which remains one of the few independent Swiss watch manufactures still owned by the founding family (now in its fourth generation).
